How to Increase Diversity in Small Software Businesses

To give back is an essential part of our mission. We support our community in many ways, such as giving away free licenses, supporting events and raffling tickets and supporting non-profits efforts to make our world better. We do it because we believe that it is the right thing to do: we want to help the world to be more friendly, respectful and inclusive.

That's why we are really proud of having supported Bridge Foundry in its journey to officially become a non-profit. They are improving the tech environment, teaching underrepresented minorities to code and creating a teaching network.

And for us, they are a guiding light about how to be more inclusive. That's why our CEO Peldi interviewed Sarah Allen about this topic: both to improve Balsamiq and to give to our Founders and CEO readers a spotlight about they could make their business more inclusive.

Why should we spend efforts on having a diverse team, inclusivity in the recruiting and day-to-day life of the company, the importance of networking, how to codify your policies and conflicts resolution. These are just some of the topics covered by the interview.

If you want to share with us any idea, challenge you faced or suggestion... we might ask Sarah her opinion too! 😊 Please let us know in the comments or by emailing community@balsamiq.com.

We hope this will inspire you as much as it has inspired us.
