Balsamiq Wireframes for Confluence and JIRA Server

Hello friends of Balsamiq!

As pre-announced last week, we're starting to ship updated versions of all of our products that include our new, web-native Balsamiq Wireframes editor.

First out the door are two products that were a bit stuck in the past, using our v.2 editor.

So it is with great pleasure that, just in time for Atlassian Summit, I can announce the immediate availability of...

Balsamiq Wireframes for Confluence Server and Balsamiq Wireframes for JIRA Server

The first thing you'll notice is that the Add-On no longer requires the Flash Player. This is a full rewrite, with a sleek, modern Javascript / React frontend.

You will also find all the goodness we shipped in Balsamiq Mockups 3: the new panels UI (no more floating inspector!), better management of Assets, easier Symbols editing, the Trash Bin, built-in Alternates, the ability to choose a font for the whole project, the ability to write a project description and wireframe notes, the quick draw and transform features, wireframe hierarchy, even background music to help you focus, and lots more.

As for the Add-On integration features, we're bringing the UX we tested on our Atlassian Cloud add-ons to the server: Balsamiq Wireframes for JIRA Server has a nice panel that helps you preview all your wireframes and even act on them, and Wireframes for Confluence Server gives you great flexibility on how to configure the macro that embeds your wireframes on the page. On both, going full-screen lets you enter the interactive presentation mode, so that you navigate through your wireframes without distractions.

Today's release also brings you all the great new Balsamiq Wireframes features: built-in threaded comments, real-time co-editing and chat, a built-in connection to WireframesToGo, our community-contributed collection of templates and UI controls.

The integration with Confluence and JIRA is super-smooth: you don't need to sign up for any external service, you can export PNGs and PDFs directy as attachments to the Confluence page or JIRA issue, and by using real-time updates we are able to make your workflow incredibly fast (try it and you will see!).

It wasn't easy, but we were able to do all of this behind the firewall, including the real-time collaboration features.

Try them out!

Balsamiq Wireframes for Confluence Server and JIRA Server are out now on Atlassian Marketplace.

Special thanks to the many beta testers that helped us work out the kinks before launch and helped us make these Add-Ons as good as they could be!

What will this cost?

We want as many of you as possible to be able to afford our tool, so we took this opportunity to reduce our prices for lower tiers for both Add-Ons. We also continue to offer our non-matching licensing to customers who purchase directly from us.

If you purchased recently with the old pricing, you should have received an email from our Sales support team already. We'll do you right! ☺️

For existing customers: your current licenses will continue to work, whether you bought from Marketplace or directly from us. You'll just need to make sure you have active maintenance to update to the latest version.

What about the Atlassian Cloud versions?

We are hard at work bringing all this new goodness to our Atlassian Cloud add-ons.

We don't have a firm date yet, but we should definitely be able to release those by the end of this year.

The update will be included in your existing subscription, you won't have to pay any extra to get it.

Alright, we can't wait to hear what you think of these new Add-Ons.

If you're going to Atlassian Summit, come by our booth and say hello or get a demo directly from our engineers!

We have another exciting announcement coming out very soon, so make sure to stay tuned! 😀

Onward!
